Welcome to Crown Dale Medical Centre
Crown Dale Medical Centre is a vibrant, modern general practice caring for patients in the South London boroughs of Lambeth and Croydon. Our nine doctors, three practice nurses, numerous other health professionals, IT, administration and reception staff aim to provide excellent health care when you're feeling unwell along with help and advice to stay healthy when you're feeling better.
Patient Access soon available to Crown Dale patients!
We will be introducing Patient Access platform to our patients in upcoming weeks. Patient Access allows to book online appointment, view medical history and request prescriptions for repeat medications. Patients can also use Patient Access to notify the practice about changes of address, and send messages to the clinic. We will launch the new system as a trial for small group of patients initially, so we can test its functionality, and eliminate any bugs in the system. As soon as the system is ready to roll out, we will be sending letters to patients with instructions how to register with Patient Access. Patients who do not wish to use the new system, will have a choice to opt out.
More information about Patient Access system, can be found at the official website:
Our appointments system is changing from Tuesday 6 May!
Following our patient survey at the end of last year and many comments from all of you during consultations with doctors or nurses here, we have decided to make alterations to our daily service and remove the walk-in clinic which we have been operating on Mondays and Thursdays. Many of you have been unhappy having to turn up on walk-in clinic days and wait some considerable time before being seen by a doctor. We have listened to what you’ve said.
The last day for the walk-in clinic will be Thursday 1 May
From Tuesday 6 May
please call 020 8670 2414, Monday to Friday to
*** either book an appointment in advance to see a GP or a nurse;
*** or, for an urgent appointment on the same day, a member of the practice team will first take your details and a doctor will then call you back to either give you advice over the telephone or book you an appointment for that day or another day.
Use your health service wisely. Accident and Emergency at your local hospital are there for just that; an accident or emergency only. They are there for things like a major injury or a life threatening condition.
Don’t forget that your local pharmacy is often able to help with a large number of minor illnesses, so you may even want to contact them.
For any other emergencies, if it outside the hours that we are open, you should contact the local out-of-hours GP service called SELDOC on 020 8693 6066.
