Good news!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent patient survey. We have taken on board your comments and suggestions and have now introduced a walk in clinic on a Monday and Thursday morning. We also run a telephone clinic alonside the walk in for those of you that have concerns which can be dealt with over the phone.

So far the feed back from patients has been very positive!

The walk in clinic is open from 9am to 10.30am on a Monday and Thursday morning and is for patients that need to see a GP that same day. There can be a wait at the walk in clinics but we aim to see as many people as possible during those morning surgeries. We still have pre-bookable appointments which can be booked via the reception team in the normal way.

During April we will ask you for your views on the service and will use that feedback to make adjustments where necessary.

Our nine doctors, three practice nurses, numerous other health professionals, IT, administration and reception staff aim to provide excellent health care when you're feeling unwell along with help and advice to stay healthy when you're feeling better.

Out of Hours
Our doctors are part of SELDOC (South East London Doctors on Call), a doctors' co-operative where GPs take turns to do night and weekend duties. For urgent advice when the surgery is closed please telephone 020 8766 8888 or 020 8670 2414. You will hear the message on our answerphone giving you the number of SELDOC (020 8693 9066). In the case of an acute collapse or dire emergency, please dial 999.

Sexual Health Clinic
The practice also runs a walk in Sexual Health Clinic on Wednesday evenings between 6.30-8.00pm and on Saturday mornings between 9.30-11.45am.

We also run a Sexual Health pre-booked appointments service on Wednesday evenings between 5.00-7.30pm.

Test Results
Please call the main number on 0208 670 2414 and press option 4 for results. Alternatively phone the results line direct on 020 8655 7856. The results line is only available between 2.00 - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Repeat Prescriptions
We cannot take requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone. You can, however, now request your repeat prescription on-line via our website.

Telephone Clinics We now offer telephone clinics every morning with one of our GP's. The clinics are for patients who would like advice and who feel that a face to face appointment is not necessary. Please ask the receptionist for more informaton.

Phoning the Practice We receive a large amount of calls between 8.00am and 9.30am. If you have a general enquiry or are looking to book an appointment in advance, please call after 10.30am.

List Inflation Newsletter Letter to patients from Primary Care Trust - if received please respond!

If you receive a letter in the post from the Primary Care Trust, it is very important that you respond. The letter will ask you to complete a form to confirm that your address is correct.

If you do not respond, the PCT will remove you from our patient list within a period of 6 months.

Research Practice Crown Dale Medical Centre is a research practice. From time to time we are involved in research activity. We would always obtain informed patient consent before participating in any form of research.

If you have any concerns please ask to speak to the Practice Manager.
